Agreement
These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the ZeroBased app and the zerobased.org website, provided by ZeroBased LLC ("ZeroBased," "we," "us"). By using them, you agree to these Terms. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information.
The app license
The ZeroBased app is licensed to you through the App Store. Your use of the app is also subject to Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement. [State which document controls if the two conflict.]
Subscriptions
ZeroBased is available through an auto-renewing subscription, billed monthly or yearly, [with a free trial of N days].
- Payment is charged to your Apple ID when you confirm your purchase or, if you start with a free trial, when the trial ends.
- Your subscription renews automatically unless you turn off auto-renew at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for the next period within 24 hours before the current one ends.
- You can manage or cancel your subscription in your iPhone's Settings: tap your name, then Subscriptions.
- Any unused portion of a free trial ends when you buy a subscription.
- Refunds are handled by Apple under its policies.
Your account
Keep your sign-in details secure; you're responsible for activity under your account. Please give accurate information when you sign up.
Bank connections
Bank connections are provided by Plaid Inc. When you connect an account, you allow Plaid to share read-only information from your bank with ZeroBased, as described in the Plaid End User Privacy Policy. Account information comes from your bank and can be delayed, incomplete, or occasionally wrong.
Not financial advice
ZeroBased helps you organize and understand your money. It doesn't provide financial, investment, tax, or legal advice. Answers from the AI assistant are generated automatically and can be wrong, so check anything important before relying on it.
Acceptable use
Don't misuse ZeroBased. That includes trying to access other people's data, disrupting the service, reverse engineering the app except where the law allows it, or using it for anything unlawful.

Ending your use
You can stop using ZeroBased and delete your account from the app at any time. Deleting your account doesn't cancel an App Store subscription, so cancel that in Settings too. We may suspend or end access for anyone who breaks these Terms.
